Jake is now 12 days old. He's still a good sleeper but is becoming more alert during the day.
This past Monday, he had his first visit to the pediatrician and passed his first checkup with flying colors. When he was discharged from the hospital the previous Friday, he weighed 6 lbs, 14 oz. But, he was up to 7 lbs 3 oz Monday. Plus, his color looked so good the doc didn't even test his bilirubin levels (for jaundice).
He's just getting cuter by the day. All my friends think he looks really alert for a newborn. Do you suppose he'll be talking by the time I get there? Being my grandson, that wouldn't surprise me! Can't wait for Friday.
